Terms of Service & Service Standards

At Country Maids, we are committed to delivering a professional, reliable, and secure service. All team members are DBS checked, fully insured, and trained to meet our internal standards before working independently.

By booking any of our services, you agree to the following terms.


1. Services We Provide

We offer a range of cleaning services, including:

  • Regular Cleans (weekly, fortnightly, monthly)
  • One-Off Cleans
  • Deep Cleans
  • End of Tenancy Cleans
  • Commercial Out of Hours Cleans

All services are carried out based on an agreed scope of work and checklist.


2. Booking, Scheduling & Frequency

  • Regular cleans are scheduled on a recurring basis with a reserved time slot
  • One-off and deep cleans are booked for agreed dates and times
  • We aim to be punctual, but arrival times may vary slightly due to traffic or job overruns

3. Cancellation & Rescheduling

  • A minimum of 48 hours’ notice is required to cancel or reschedule
  • Cancellations within 48 hours may incur a charge of up to 50% of the service cost
  • Repeated last-minute cancellations for regular cleans may result in loss of your reserved slot

4. Access to Property

  • Clients must provide safe and clear access at the scheduled time
  • Access can be via key, key safe, or being present
  • Keys are stored securely using a coded system
  • If we cannot gain access, the full service fee may still be charged

5. Client Responsibilities

To allow us to deliver the best results:

  • Surfaces should be reasonably decluttered
  • Valuables and fragile items should be secured or stored safely
  • Utilities (water, electricity, heating if required) must be available
  • For end of tenancy cleans, the property must be fully vacated

6. Scope of Work & Limitations

  • Cleaning is carried out according to the agreed checklist
  • Additional tasks must be requested and confirmed in advance
  • We do not handle:
    • Biohazard materials
    • Active pest infestations
    • Structural or maintenance-related issues

While we aim for the highest standard, we cannot guarantee removal of:

  • Permanent stains
  • Limescale damage
  • Wear and tear or pre-existing damage

7. End of Tenancy Cleaning

Our end of tenancy service is designed to meet letting agent and landlord standards for re-letting.

  • Includes full property deep clean, appliances, bathrooms, and internal windows
  • Exterior windows and carpet cleaning are not included unless agreed
  • Property must be empty and ready prior to our arrival

48-hour guarantee:
If any issues are raised within 48 hours (with evidence), we will return to address them free of charge.

This guarantee does not cover:

  • Damage
  • Pre-existing conditions
  • Issues raised after the property has been reoccupied

8. Deep Cleaning Services

Deep cleans are intensive, detailed cleans designed for:

  • Heavily used properties
  • Post-renovation cleaning
  • Seasonal or reset cleans

They include areas not typically covered in regular cleans (e.g., skirting boards, internal windows, detailed kitchen/bathroom work).


9. Pricing & Quotations

  • Quotes are based on property size, condition, and estimated time
  • Quotes assume a reasonable level of cleanliness unless stated otherwise
  • If conditions differ significantly on arrival, we reserve the right to revise the quote before starting

10. Payment Terms

  • Payment is due in full on completion unless agreed otherwise
  • End of tenancy and deep cleans may require a 50% deposit to secure booking
  • Deposits may be non-refundable if cancelled with less than 7 days’ notice
  • Payments are accepted via bank transfer

11. Liability & Insurance

  • We are fully insured for public liability
  • Any accidental damage caused by our team will be reported and resolved
  • We are not liable for:
    • Pre-existing damage
    • Faulty installations
    • Normal wear and tear

12. Satisfaction Guarantee

  • For general cleans: notify us within 24 hours
  • For end of tenancy cleans: notify us within 48 hours

We will return to rectify any valid issues at no additional cost.


13. Agreement

By confirming a booking, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.
