To ensure the utmost trust and safety in our service, every member of our team holds a current, basic DBS check and is fully covered by our public liability insurance. Furthermore, we never send a team member into your home unprepared. Each individual completes a comprehensive training program on our exacting standards and methods, and they are only permitted to work independently once they have demonstrated complete proficiency and a full understanding of "The Country Maids way." This commitment to rigorous vetting, thorough training, and comprehensive insurance is our promise to you, guaranteeing a service that is not only exceptional but also secure and reliable.

Domestic Cleans

Scheduling & Frequency:

One-off Cleans: A single deep clean or specific cleaning session, booked for an agreed-upon date and time.
Regular Cleans (Fortnightly/Monthly):These are recurring bookings where we reserve a regular time slot in our diary for you. We will work with you to establish a mutually convenient schedule.

Cancellation & Rescheduling:
We require a minimum of 48 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule any clean without charge.
Cancellations or changes made with less than 48 hours' notice may be subject to a fee of up to 50% of the cleans cost.
For regular cleans, repeated last-minute cancellations may result in the loss of your reserved slot.

Access & Security:
You agree to provide safe and clear access to your property on the scheduled cleaning day. This can be via key provision (which is stored securely in a coded system), a key safe, or you being present.
It is your responsibility to ensure that our team can access the property at the agreed time. If we are unable to gain access, the full clean fee will be payable.

Scope of Work:
Our service includes standard cleaning tasks as per our agreed checklist. We kindly ask that you ensure surfaces are clear of excessive personal clutter to allow us to clean effectively and efficiently.
Any tasks outside the agreed scope (e.g., cleaning inside appliances, interior windows) must be requested and confirmed in advance.

Payment:
Payment is due in full on the day of the clean, unless alternative invoicing arrangement has been agreed in advance.
For your convenience, we accept payment via bank transfer, all payment details will be on every invoice.

End of Tenancy Cleans

Definition & Objective
Our End of Tenancy cleaning service is designed to return the property to a standard that meets typical landlord and letting agent requirements for a full deposit release. The goal is to leave the property in a "ready to re-let" condition.

Client's Responsibilities
To ensure we can achieve the best possible result, the client is responsible for the following before our team arrives:

  • Complete Vacancy: The property must be fully vacated. All personal belongings, furniture, and rubbish must be removed. We cannot clean around a tenant's possessions.

  • Utilities: The property must have connected and functioning electricity, running water, and heating (if required) to facilitate cleaning.

  • Access & Security: Full and safe access must be provided to all areas of the property at the agreed start time. A delay in access may result in a reduced service or additional charges.

Scope of Work
Our service is a comprehensive deep clean of the entire property, including, but not limited to:

  • All Rooms: Deep cleaning of all surfaces, skirting boards, light switches, doors, and window sills.

  • Kitchen/Bathroom: Sanitisation of all surfaces, deep cleaning of appliances (interior and exterior), degreasing of extractor fans, descaling of taps/showerheads, and cleaning of toilets, sinks, and baths/showers.

  • Floors: Vacuuming of all carpets and mopping of hard floors. (Please note: We recommend a professional carpet clean for carpets; this is not included in our standard end-of-tenancy clean but can be arranged with additional charges).

  • Windows: Interior windows and sills are included. Exterior windows are an additional service and must be agreed upon separately and can be arranged.

Quotations & Pricing

  • Quotations are provided based on the property's size, condition, and the estimated time required.

  • The final quoted price assumes the property is vacant, cleared of all belongings, and in a reasonable state.

  • If the property condition is significantly worse than described (e.g., excessive mould, heavy grease, staining, or requires excessive descaling), we reserve the right to re-quote the job on-site before commencing work.

Guarantee

  • We provide a 48-hour guarantee from the time we finish the clean. If the letting agent/landlord identifies any areas that do not meet a professional standard, the client must notify us in writing (via email) within this period and provide photographic evidence.

  • We will return to address the specific issues raised at no additional cost. This guarantee is void if the property has been re-occupied or if the issues are related to damage (e.g., chips, scratches, burns, stains that cannot be removed) or mould caused by structural defects.

Limitations

  • Our cleaning team are skilled professionals, but we cannot guarantee the removal of all pre-existing stains, scratches, limescale, or damage. We will make every effort to improve their appearance.

  • We are not liable for pre-existing damage to the property or its contents. We undertake all work with reasonable care and skill.

  •  Payment

  • A 50% deposit is required to secure this booking, this is non refundable if the booking is cancelled with less than 7 days' notice. 
  • Full payment is due upon completion of the service, before we leave the property and after inspection.

  • We accept payment via Bank Transfer.

By booking our End of Tenancy cleaning service, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms and Conditions.

Deep Cleans

Service Definition
A Deep Clean is a more intensive and detailed service than a standard maintenance clean. It targets built-up grime, dust in hard-to-reach areas, and sanitization. It is ideal for spring cleaning, post-renovation, or for homes that haven't been professionally cleaned in some time.

Client Preparation
To allow us to work efficiently and effectively, we kindly request that the client:

  • Declutter: Surfaces (e.g., countertops, tables, floors) should be cleared of personal items, toys, and general clutter.

  • Secure Valuables: Please put away money, jewellery, important documents, and other valuable or fragile items.

  • Provide Access & Utilities: Ensure we have safe access and that electricity and running water are connected and functioning.

3. Scope of Work
Our Deep Clean service includes, but is not limited to, the following tasks:

  • All Rooms: Detailed dusting of all surfaces, skirting boards, door frames, light switches, and window sills.

  • Kitchen: Deep cleaning and sanitization of all appliance exteriors, degreasing of splashbacks and extractor fan filters, and cleaning of exterior cabinets and drawers.

  • Bathrooms: Deep cleaning, descaling, and sanitization of all fixtures, tiles, showers, baths, and toilets.

  • Floors: Thorough vacuuming of carpets and mopping of hard floors, moving small, lightweight furniture where safe and practical.

  • Accessible Areas: Cleaning of areas not typically covered in a standard clean, such as skirting boards, inside windows etc.

 Exclusions & Limitations

  • Biohazards: We do not handle biohazardous waste (e.g., human/animal waste, blood, mould remediation).

  • Pest Infestations: We cannot clean properties with active pest infestations (e.g., insects, rodents).

  • Structural Issues: We are not liable for cleaning issues arising from structural damage, broken fixtures, or pre-existing mould and mildew caused by damp.

  • High-Risk Areas: Cleaning exterior windows (above ground floor), high chandeliers, or any area requiring specialist equipment is not included.

  • Valuables: We cannot clean items of high monetary or sentimental value (e.g., crystal, antiques, fine art) without a prior specific agreement.

 Pricing & Quotations

  • The quoted price is based on the estimated time and effort for a property in standard condition.

  • If the actual condition is significantly worse than described or requires excessive time due to heavy soiling, we reserve the right to re-quote the price on-site before commencing work.

  • A 50% is required to secure a Deep Clean booking.
  • The final invoice will reflect the confirmed quoted price, any remaining payment is due in full upon completion of the service.

 Access & Cancellation

  • We require a minimum of 48 hours' notice for cancellation or rescheduling. 

  • If our team is unable to gain access to the property at the scheduled time, the full clean fee will be payable.

Liability

  • Our team is fully insured for public liability.

  • We exercise utmost care with our clients' property. Any accidental damage caused by our staff will be reported immediately and rectified by us.

  • We are not liable for damage resulting from pre-existing faults, poor installation, or normal wear and tear of items and surfaces.

 Satisfaction Guarantee

  • We stand by the quality of our work. If you are unsatisfied with any aspect of the clean, please notify us within 24 hours of service completion. We will return to address the specific concerns at no additional cost.

By booking our Deep Clean service, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms and Conditions.

Overview 

By confirming your booking with Country Maids, you automatically agree to our full Terms and Conditions. Every booking will be confirmed with an agreement including T&C's prior to a clean being undertaken. 

This includes our policies on:
Cancellation & Access: Requiring 48 hours' notice for changes and ensuring we have access to the property.
Scope & Preparation: Understanding what is included in your chosen service and preparing your home accordingly.
Payment: Terms for payment upon completion.
